We are currently seeking a Regional Underwriting Manager for our Corporate Accounts Professional Liability/Cyber, Financial Lines division.   2. Oversee the underwriting process for complex and high-profile accounts, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and policies.
  3. Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive profitable growth and achieve business objectives.
  4. Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for new products and services.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as risk management and claims, to provide comprehensive and effective solutions for clients.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to promote business development and retention.
  7. Analyze and evaluate underwriting data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  9. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their underwriting skills and knowledge.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on underwriting activities and results.
  11. Participate in underwriting audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  12. Stay updated on industry and market trends, as well as changes in laws and regulations, to ensure AIG remains competitive and compliant.
  13. Represent AIG at industry events and conferences to enhance the company's reputation and network with potential clients and partners.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Underwriting: A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Professional Liability And Cyber Risks In The Corporate Accounts Segment Is Required For This Role. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of The Market, Industry Trends, And Risk Assessment.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Regional Underwriting Manager, The Candidate Must Possess Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Oversee A Team Of Underwriters And Drive Business Results. This Includes The Ability To Mentor And Develop Junior Team Members And Foster A Collaborative And Inclusive Work Culture.

  • Technical Expertise: The Candidate Must Have A Deep Understanding Of The Technical Aspects Of Underwriting Professional Liability And Cyber Risks, Including Policy Language, Coverage Forms, And Underwriting Guidelines. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Underwriting Strategies And Guidelines To Drive Profitable Growth.

  • Financial Acumen: A Strong Understanding Of Financial Lines And The Financial Implications Of Underwriting Decisions Is Crucial For This Role. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing And Analyzing Financial Data, Including Loss Ratios, Premium Volumes, And Pricing Models, To Make Informed Underwriting Decisions.

  • Relationship Management: The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication And Relationship Management Skills To Effectively Interact With Clients, Brokers, And Other Stakeholders. They Should Be Able To Build And Maintain Strong Relationships, Negotiate Effectively, And Provide Exceptional Customer Service To Support Business Growth And Retention.
