- Analyze and evaluate complex insurance risks to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Develop underwriting strategies to effectively manage risk and achieve business objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers and clients.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions to inform underwriting decisions.
- Utilize strong analytical skills to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of underwriting decisions.
- Review and approve policy applications, endorsements, and renewals.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and actuarial, to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and train junior underwriters to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Comply with all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness to client needs.
- Meet or exceed established performance metrics and goals.
- Continuously strive to improve underwriting processes and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Property And Casualty Underwriting, Preferably In A Senior Or Leadership Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards.
Excellent Analytical And Decision-Making Skills, With The Ability To Evaluate Complex Risks And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions.
Proven Track Record Of Developing And Maintaining Productive Relationships With Clients, Brokers, And Other Industry Professionals.
