Head of Procurement & Business Services, APAC & China

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Procurement & Business Services for the APAC & China region at American International Group (AIG). 1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for the APAC & China region that align with AIG's global objectives and drive cost savings for the organization.
2. Manage and lead a team of procurement professionals to ensure efficient and effective execution of procurement activities.
3. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure the best value for AIG.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop innovative procurement solutions to support business growth.
5. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the market and industry trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
6. Oversee the execution of all procurement activities, including sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance management, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
7. Lead the development and implementation of business services strategies to support the organization's operations and business objectives.
8. Monitor and analyze business services performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure seamless delivery of services.
10. Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices related to procurement and business services, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
11. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement and business services functions.
12. Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
13. Act as a representative of AIG in industry events and conferences to promote the organization and build strategic partnerships.
14. Mentor and develop team members to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.
15. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of procurement and business services processes and make recommendations for improvement.
