In this role, you will utilize your expertise in marine recovery to lead and oversee our global claims team, ensuring efficient and effective handling of complex marine recovery claims.   1. Lead and supervise a global team of claims professionals to ensure efficient and effective handling of complex marine recovery claims.
  2. Utilize extensive knowledge and experience in marine recovery to provide guidance and support to the team.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to streamline the claims process and improve overall efficiency.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of marine recovery claims to determine coverage and liability.
  5. Communicate with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the status of claims and resolve any issues or concerns.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and legal, to gather necessary information and make informed decisions on claims.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  8. Analyze data and prepare reports to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
  9. Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and develop their expertise in marine recovery.
  10. Represent the organization at industry conferences and events to build relationships and promote AIG's marine recovery capabilities.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Marine Insurance: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Marine Insurance, With A Strong Understanding Of Claims Handling And Recovery Processes. They Should Also Have A Thorough Knowledge Of Global Marine Markets And Regulations.

  • Strong Technical Background: The Global Marine Recovery Technical Lead Should Possess A Strong Technical Background, With A Degree In Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Or A Related Field. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Assess And Evaluate Complex Marine Claims And Provide Technical Guidance To The Claims Team.

  • Leadership Skills: This Position Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Claims Professionals And Drive Results. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Developing Teams, With Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Global Marine Recovery Technical Lead Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Complex Claims And Developing Recovery Strategies. Therefore, They Should Have Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Think Critically And Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.

  • Global Perspective: As The Name Suggests, This Role Will Have A Global Scope, Requiring The Candidate To Have A Broad Understanding Of The International Marine Insurance Market.
