  1. Develop and implement underwriting strategies for cyber insurance that align with AIG's overall business goals and objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of underwriters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
  3. Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber risks and trends, and use this knowledge to inform underwriting decisions and identify potential areas for growth.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and risk management, to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to cyber insurance.
  5. Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis for potential clients, using a variety of tools and resources to determine appropriate coverage and premiums.
  6. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and brokers to secure profitable and sustainable business for AIG.
  7. Monitor and review underwriting performance, analyzing data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  8. Maintain a deep understanding of AIG's cyber insurance products and services, as well as industry regulations and compliance standards, and effectively communicate this information to clients and internal stakeholders.
  9. Act as a subject matter expert for cyber underwriting, providing guidance and support to colleagues and promoting awareness of cyber risks and insurance solutions within the company and the industry.
  10. Represent AIG at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company's reputation and build relationships with potential clients and partners.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Cybersecurity: The Ideal Candidate For A Cyber Underwriting Leader Job At American International Group Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Cybersecurity Principles, Including Risk Assessment, Threat Detection, And Incident Response.

  • Extensive Underwriting Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Cyber Insurance Policies, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Experience Should Include A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Underwriting Strategies That Effectively Manage Risk.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Trends And Standards: A Cyber Underwriting Leader At American International Group Must Stay Up-To-Date On The Latest Industry Trends, Emerging Risks, And Regulatory Standards Related To Cyber Insurance. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Types Of Cyber Insurance Products And Their Coverage.

  • Excellent Analytical And Decision-Making Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Evaluate Risks And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions. They Should Be Able To Analyze Data, Identify Trends, And Use This Information To Develop Effective Underwriting Strategies.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Leader, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Underwriters, Collaborate With Other Departments, And Communicate With Clients And Brokers. They Should Also Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Motivate And Develop Their Team And Promote A Culture Of Continuous Improvement.
