
Crop Insurance Underwriter
Learn and maintain knowledge of RMA established deadlines such as sales closing, fund designation, accounting cut-off, production reporting and acreage reporting. Learn and maintain strong knowledge of all MPCI crops/plans in assigned states/areas. Learn and maintain strong knowledge of CRS-developed insurance products (Private Products). Learn and maintain a strong knowledge of Aeros and other CRS systems. Process policy applications, production reports, acreage reports and other policy paperwork. Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned agents. Provide training and problem resolution services to agents. Provide training and guidance to Assistant Underwriters and Interns. Research underwriting handbooks and comply with RMA rules/regulations for policy set up. Meet production goals (support an acceptable policy count/premium volume). Promptly research and fix policies with a FCIC “Error” status as well as internally identified issues.
Experience in underwriting, customer service, crop insurance and/or farming is preferred.
Ability to work under time constraints and meet strict deadlines.
