- Lead and manage a team of claims professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service and outcomes for clients.
- Oversee and handle complex and high-value general liability claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal counsel, and other departments, to effectively manage claims and achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the General Liability division, while upholding AIG's standards of excellence and integrity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve claims processes and procedures.
- Review and analyze data to identify patterns and trends in claims, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and knowledge in handling complex claims.
- Communicate with clients and provide regular updates on the status of their claims, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage claims costs to ensure they align with established budgets and company goals.
- Represent AIG in legal proceedings and participate in settlement negotiations, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex or sensitive claims, providing guidance and support to resolve issues and maintain client relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments within AIG to identify opportunities for cross-selling and promoting additional services to clients.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members to support their professional growth and development.
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to the development of company-wide strategies and initiatives.
In-Depth Knowledge Of General Liability Insurance Industry, Including Claims Management, Policy Coverage, And Legal Regulations.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Oversee A Team Of Claims Professionals And Effectively Delegate Tasks.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Clients, Attorneys, And Other Stakeholders.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Handling Complex And High-Value General Liability Claims, Including Litigation Management And Settlement Negotiations.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field And At Least 10 Years Of Experience In General Liability Claims Management, Preferably With A Background In The Insurance Industry. Additional Certifications Or Designations Such As Cpcu Or Arm Are Also Desired.
