We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Claims Complex Director to join our team in the Healthcare Professional Liability (HPL) division.   1. Manage and oversee all aspects of the Healthcare Professional Liability claims department.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to effectively handle complex claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of claims professionals, ensuring high-quality performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  4. Continuously evaluate and improve claims processes and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and customer service.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, brokers, and other internal and external partners.
  6. Analyze and assess claims data to identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for risk management and loss prevention strategies.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and legal, to ensure effective communication and coordination in claims handling.
  9. Manage a large and complex caseload, including high-value and sensitive claims, and ensure appropriate reserves and settlements are made.
  10. Represent the company in mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings, and negotiate settlements as needed.
  11. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, professional growth, and development within the team.
  12. Prepare and present reports and updates on claims performance to senior management and other stakeholders.
  13. Handle escalated and sensitive customer inquiries and complaints, providing excellent customer service and finding solutions to issues.
  14. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other team members and departments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Clients, Attorneys, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Risk Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Claims Management, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations, As Well As Experience With Complex Healthcare Claims.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team Of Claims Professionals.
