- Develop and implement effective strategies for managing complex claims related to casualty coverage and mass tort issues.
- Oversee a team of claims professionals and provide guidance and support in handling these complex claims.
- Analyze and evaluate claims to determine coverage and liability, and make recommendations for settlement or litigation.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in laws and regulations related to casualty coverage and mass tort issues.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, attorneys, and other insurance professionals, to effectively manage and resolve claims.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends and develop proactive solutions for mitigating risks and reducing claim costs.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the organization to share information and best practices.
- Monitor and report on the progress of complex claims, ensuring timely and accurate updates to stakeholders.
- Train and mentor staff on casualty coverage and mass tort issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Represent AIG in legal proceedings and negotiations, and maintain positive relationships with outside counsel and other parties involved in the claims process.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the claims management process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and tools in the insurance industry and make recommendations for their implementation to improve claims handling.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Handle other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Extensive Experience In Managing Complex Casualty Coverage And Mass Tort Claims: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Handling Complex Casualty Coverage And Mass Tort Claims. This Includes Experience In Managing Large Claim Volumes, Coordinating With Multiple Parties, And Developing Effective Strategies To Mitigate Risk.
Strong Knowledge Of Insurance Industry Regulations And Best Practices: The Director Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Insurance Industry, Including Regulatory Compliance Requirements And Industry Best Practices. This Knowledge Is Essential In Ensuring That All Claims Are Handled In Accordance With Applicable Laws And Regulations.
Excellent Leadership Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Claims Professionals.
