We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to support our legal department in providing strategic advice and counsel to our business units.   1. Provide legal support and advice to various business units within AIG, including but not limited to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions.
  2. Conduct legal research and analysis, and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the insurance industry.
  3. Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop and implement strategies for managing legal risks and protecting the company's interests.
  5. Advise business units on potential legal issues and provide guidance on how to mitigate risks.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to understand business objectives and provide legal support to achieve them.
  7. Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other interactions with external parties.
  8. Keep track of deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal tasks and projects.
  9. Act as a liaison between the legal department and other departments within the company to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and enhance legal processes and procedures at AIG.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  12. Mentor and train junior legal team members as needed.
  13. Comply with all ethical standards and codes of conduct in the legal profession.
  14. Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.
  15. Contribute to the development and implementation of AIG's legal policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Active Membership In Good Standing With The State Bar Association.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, Preferably In A Corporate Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Corporate Law, Contracts, And Regulatory Compliance.

  • Excellent Communication, Negotiation, And Analytical Skills.
