1. Investigate and evaluate A&H insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.
2. Communicate with claimants, policyholders, and other involved parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
3. Review and analyze medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents to make accurate decisions on claims.
4. Utilize company policies and procedures to make timely and fair claim determinations.
5. Work closely with adjusters, attorneys, and other specialists to manage complex or high-value claims.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files and documentation.
7. Negotiate and settle claims within authority level or refer to higher authority as needed.
8. Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries and concerns from policyholders and other stakeholders.
9. Stay up-to-date on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to A&H insurance claims.
10. Identify and report potential fraud or suspicious activity to the appropriate department.
11. Collaborate with other departments and team members to improve processes and procedures for efficient claims handling.
12. Train and mentor new claims examiners to ensure consistent and accurate handling of claims.
13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while handling sensitive information.
14. Meet or exceed performance targets and goals set by the company.
15. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
