  1. Supervise and lead the daily operations of the Aircraft Base Maintenance team.
  2. Ensure the safety and reliability of the aircraft fleet through effective oversight and management.
  3. Monitor and maintain compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  4. Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  5. Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  7. Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering and Quality Assurance, to ensure smooth and timely completion of maintenance activities.
  8. Develop and implement procedures and protocols to optimize maintenance processes and procedures.
  9. Monitor and manage budget and expenses related to aircraft maintenance.
  10. Communicate effectively with upper management and provide regular updates on the status of maintenance operations.
  11. Act as a point of contact for any technical issues or emergencies related to aircraft maintenance.
  12. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in aircraft maintenance.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote employee satisfaction and retention.
  14. Handle any escalated issues or conflicts within the team in a professional and timely manner.
  15. Represent American Airlines in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Aircraft Maintenance Procedures: A Supervisor, Aircraft Base Maintenance At American Airlines Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of All Aspects Of Aircraft Maintenance, Including Inspection, Repair, And Documentation Processes.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing A Team Of Maintenance Technicians, Providing Guidance And Direction To Ensure That All Tasks Are Completed Efficiently And Accurately.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Role Involves Working Closely With Other Departments, Communicating With Stakeholders, And Providing Feedback To Upper Management. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Proficiency In Industry Software And Tools: With Advancements In Technology, Aircraft Maintenance Now Involves The Use Of Various Software And Tools. The Candidate Should Have Experience And Proficiency In Using These Tools To Ensure Smooth Workflow And Accurate Data Management.

  • Relevant Experience And Certifications: American Airlines Requires A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Aircraft Maintenance, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Role. Additionally, Relevant Certifications, Such As An Airframe And Powerplant (A&P) License, Are Highly Preferred.
