  8. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and developments, and implement changes as necessary to maintain compliance and improve efficiency.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance services.
  10. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to provide updates on maintenance control operations and address any concerns or issues.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Aviation Maintenance: A Senior Manager, Maintenance Control At American Airlines Should Have A Minimum Of 10-15 Years Of Experience In Aviation Maintenance, Including Experience In A Leadership Role.

  • Strong Technical Knowledge: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Aircraft Systems, Maintenance Procedures, And Regulatory Requirements. They Should Also Have Experience With Various Types Of Aircraft, Including Narrow-Body, Wide-Body, And Regional Jets.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Manager, Maintenance Control, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Maintenance Controllers And Coordinating With Other Departments. Therefore, They Should Have Strong Leadership And Management Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Motivate Employees, And Resolve Conflicts.

  • Excellent Communication And Decision-Making Abilities: Maintenance Control Is A Critical Function In Ensuring The Safety And Reliability Of Airline Operations. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Pilots, Engineers, And Maintenance Personnel. They Should Also Have Strong Decision-Making Abilities To Make Quick And Effective Decisions In High-Pressure Situations.

  • Knowledge Of Faa Regulations And Industry Standards: A Senior Manager, Maintenance Control Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Regulations And Industry Standards, Such As The Federal Aviation Regulations (Fars), Airworthiness Directives (Ads), And Maintenance Manuals. This Knowledge Is Crucial In Ensuring Compliance And Maintaining The Airworthiness Of The Airline's Fleet.
