Job Description

Welcome to American Airlines – the world's largest airline and the largest operator of commercial flights. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our Corporate Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets across our global operations. As a Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop strategies, programs, and initiatives that protect our organization from potential threats.   1. Develop and implement comprehensive security programs and strategies to protect American Airlines' employees, customers, and assets worldwide.
  2. Lead a team of security professionals and oversee their daily activities to ensure the highest level of security is maintained.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and design appropriate mitigation plans.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards.
  5. Monitor and analyze security data and trends to proactively identify and address potential security risks.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including law enforcement agencies, government entities, and industry organizations.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters, providing guidance and support to various departments and stakeholders.
  8. Develop and manage the security budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  9. Stay current on industry best practices and trends in corporate security, and recommend improvements to enhance the organization's security posture.
  10. Conduct training and education programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and preparedness.
  11. Develop crisis management plans and procedures and lead response efforts during security incidents or emergencies.
  12. Prepare and present security reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  13. Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security.
  14. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the Corporate Security team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Criminal Justice, Security Management, Or Business Administration.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Program Management, Preferably In A Corporate Security Or Similar Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security Protocols, Risk Assessment, And Crisis Management Planning.

  • Proven Experience In Leading And Managing A Team, With Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Ability To Obtain And Maintain Necessary Security Clearances And Certifications, Such As Certified Protection Professional (Cpp) Or Project Management Professional (Pmp).
