- Oversee and manage the daily maintenance operations of American Airlines' fleet.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and processes to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Lead and motivate a team of maintenance staff to ensure high-quality work and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to flight schedules.
- Review and approve maintenance checklists and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Identify and address any issues or concerns related to maintenance operations.
- Provide guidance and support to maintenance staff, including training and development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external maintenance vendors and suppliers.
- Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in aircraft maintenance technology.
- Participate in emergency response and crisis management plans as needed.
- Responsible for budgeting and cost management for maintenance operations.
- Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
Bachelor's Degree In Aviation Management, Engineering, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Aircraft Maintenance, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Regulations And Guidelines.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Maintenance Tracking Software, Such As Trax Or Amos.
