  1. Oversee and manage the daily maintenance operations of American Airlines' fleet.
  2. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  3. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and processes to enhance safety and efficiency.
  4. Lead and motivate a team of maintenance staff to ensure high-quality work and timely completion of tasks.
  5. Monitor and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to flight schedules.
  7. Review and approve maintenance checklists and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
  8. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
  9. Identify and address any issues or concerns related to maintenance operations.
  10. Provide guidance and support to maintenance staff, including training and development opportunities.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with external maintenance vendors and suppliers.
  12. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in aircraft maintenance technology.
  13. Participate in emergency response and crisis management plans as needed.
  14. Responsible for budgeting and cost management for maintenance operations.
  15. Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Aviation Management, Engineering, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Aircraft Maintenance, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Regulations And Guidelines.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.

  • Proficiency In Computer Systems And Maintenance Tracking Software, Such As Trax Or Amos.
