  1. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect company information and assets.
  2. Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, direction, and mentorship to ensure the team's success.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address potential cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, and proactively implement measures to mitigate those risks.
  5. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential weaknesses in the company's security systems.
  6. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
  7. Manage relationships with external security vendors and service providers to ensure the company's security needs are met.
  8. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and raise awareness of potential threats.
  9. Create and maintain incident response plans to effectively handle and mitigate cybersecurity incidents.
  10. Regularly report on the company's cybersecurity posture to senior management and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  12. Continuously assess and improve the company's overall cybersecurity posture.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Cybersecurity Principles And Best Practices: A Manager, It Cybersecurity At American Airlines Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Cybersecurity Concepts, Including Risk Assessment, Threat Detection, Incident Response, And Compliance Regulations.

  • Extensive Experience In Information Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Managing Cybersecurity Operations In A Large Organization. This Includes Experience In Implementing And Maintaining Security Measures, Conducting Security Audits, And Managing Security Incidents.

  • Proficiency In Network And System Security: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Network And System Security, Including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Encryption, And Other Security Technologies. They Should Also Have Experience In Monitoring And Analyzing Network Traffic To Identify And Respond To Potential Security Threats.

  • Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Manager, It Cybersecurity, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Cybersecurity Professionals. Therefore, They Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Communicate, Delegate Tasks, And Motivate Team Members.

  • Industry Certifications: American Airlines May Require The Candidate To Have Industry-Recognized Certifications, Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Certified Information Systems Auditor (Cisa). These Certifications Demonstrate A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Cybersecurity.
