  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all dangerous goods and hazardous materials regulations and ensure compliance with these regulations at all times.
  2. Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of dangerous goods and hazardous materials.
  3. Lead and motivate a team of compliance specialists to ensure all employees and contractors are trained and educated on dangerous goods and hazmat regulations.
  4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify any potential hazards and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to develop and maintain a robust safety management system for dangerous goods and hazardous materials.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stay up-to-date on any changes or updates to regulations.
  7. Monitor and track all dangerous goods and hazmat shipments to ensure they are properly documented and handled in accordance with regulations.
  8. Investigate any incidents or accidents involving dangerous goods or hazardous materials and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  9. Communicate and train employees and contractors on any changes or updates to dangerous goods and hazmat regulations.
  10. Develop and maintain a budget for the dangerous goods and hazmat compliance department and ensure all activities are within budgetary constraints.
  11. Provide guidance and support to other departments and employees regarding dangerous goods and hazmat compliance.
  12. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices related to dangerous goods and hazmat compliance and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  13. Prepare and submit reports to management on the status of dangerous goods and hazmat compliance within the organization.
  14. Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained for the transportation of dangerous goods and hazardous materials.
  15. Participate in and lead emergency response drills and exercises to test and improve the organization's response to incidents involving dangerous goods and hazardous materials.

  • Previous Experience In Hazardous Materials Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Managing Hazardous Materials In A Corporate Or Airline Setting, Including Knowledge Of Labeling, Packaging, And Documentation Requirements.
