
Manager, Aviation Safety Action Program

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our passengers and crew members through the implementation and management of our Safety Action Program. - Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee and manage the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve safety issues.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices related to safety management.
- Communicate and coordinate with regulatory agencies and industry partners regarding safety initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture.
- Lead investigations into safety incidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Develop and manage safety performance metrics and report on progress to upper management.
- Manage a team of safety professionals and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Represent American Airlines at safety conferences and industry events.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for improving safety procedures and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Aviation Safety, Aeronautical Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Aviation Safety Management, Preferably With A Major Airline.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Regulations And Safety Standards.
Previous Experience In Implementing And Managing An Aviation Safety Action Program (Asap).
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Safety Professionals.
