- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the overall goals and objectives of American Airlines
- Provide legal guidance and counsel to the company's leadership team on a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, and corporate governance
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations and ensure the company's practices and policies are in compliance
- Manage and oversee the legal team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff
- Work closely with other departments, such as Human Resources and Finance, to ensure legal considerations are taken into account in business decisions
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters
- Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and industry organizations to stay informed on relevant legal issues and developments
- Conduct legal research and provide recommendations on complex legal issues
- Oversee the drafting and review of legal documents and contracts
- Ensure all legal operations are conducted with the utmost integrity and in accordance with ethical standards
- Communicate legal updates and changes to relevant stakeholders within the company
- Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Legal Experience, With A Focus On Aviation And Transportation Law.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal Regulations And Laws Governing The Airline Industry.
Demonstrated Experience In Managing And Leading A Team Of Attorneys And Legal Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders To Achieve Strategic Legal Goals For The Company.
