- Recruit and onboard volunteers for the regional Hospice Support Program (HSP)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer training program
- Coordinate and schedule volunteer assignments based on patient and family needs
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities and hours
- Foster positive relationships with volunteers, patients, and families
- Develop and implement strategies to continuously engage and retain volunteers
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective coordination of volunteer activities
- Conduct regular evaluations to assess the impact and effectiveness of the volunteer program
- Assist in the development and execution of fundraising events and campaigns to support the HSP
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in volunteer management
- Serve as a liaison between volunteers and Amedisys management, providing support and guidance as needed
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations
- Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on volunteer activities and accomplishments
- Represent Amedisys at community events and networking opportunities to promote the HSP and recruit new volunteers
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of Amedisys and the HSP.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Or A Related Field
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Volunteer Coordination, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Hospice And Palliative Care Services And Regulations
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Group Of Volunteers, Patients, And Families
Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills To Effectively Manage A Large Number Of Volunteers And Coordinate Volunteer Activities Across Multiple Locations.
