  1. Recruit and onboard volunteers for the regional Hospice Support Program (HSP)
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer training program
  3. Coordinate and schedule volunteer assignments based on patient and family needs
  4. Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities and hours
  5. Foster positive relationships with volunteers, patients, and families
  6. Develop and implement strategies to continuously engage and retain volunteers
  7. Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective coordination of volunteer activities
  8. Conduct regular evaluations to assess the impact and effectiveness of the volunteer program
  9. Assist in the development and execution of fundraising events and campaigns to support the HSP
  10. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in volunteer management
  11. Serve as a liaison between volunteers and Amedisys management, providing support and guidance as needed
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations
  13. Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on volunteer activities and accomplishments
  14. Represent Amedisys at community events and networking opportunities to promote the HSP and recruit new volunteers
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of Amedisys and the HSP.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Or A Related Field

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Volunteer Coordination, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of Hospice And Palliative Care Services And Regulations

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Group Of Volunteers, Patients, And Families

  • Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills To Effectively Manage A Large Number Of Volunteers And Coordinate Volunteer Activities Across Multiple Locations.
