
Regional Hospice Volunteer Coordinator - Hybrid - Kansas City

- Recruit, train, and manage a team of hospice volunteers in the Kansas City region
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations and volunteer groups to expand volunteer recruitment efforts
- Create and maintain volunteer schedules and assignments, ensuring coverage for all hospice locations in the region
- Collaborate with hospice staff to identify and prioritize volunteer needs for patients and families
- Conduct regular volunteer training sessions and provide ongoing support and resources for volunteers
- Develop and implement volunteer appreciation programs to recognize and motivate volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer information, activities, and impact on patients and families
- Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, providing feedback and addressing any issues that may arise
- Stay updated on hospice care regulations and ensure volunteer activities are in compliance with these regulations
- Represent Amedisys at community events and networking opportunities to promote volunteer opportunities and raise awareness for hospice care services
- Continuously assess and improve volunteer program to meet the changing needs of the organization and community.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Volunteer Coordination, Preferably In A Hospice Or Healthcare Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage With A Diverse Group Of Volunteers And Community Members.
Understanding Of Hospice Philosophy And Principles, With Knowledge Of End-Of-Life Care And Support Services.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Database Management, With The Ability To Track And Report Volunteer Activities And Outcomes.
