Active Rn Licensure: Amedisys Requires All Applicants For A Psychiatric Rn Position To Hold An Active, Unrestricted Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Working.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: Amedisys Prefers Candidates For This Position To Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing. Candidates With An Associate's Degree May Also Be Considered, But A Bachelor's Degree Is Preferred.
Experience In Psychiatric Nursing: Amedisys Is Looking For Candidates With At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Psychiatric Nursing. This Experience Should Include Working With Patients With Mental Health Disorders And Providing Treatment And Support.
Certification In Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing: Amedisys Values Specialized Knowledge And Skills In Psychiatric Nursing. Candidates With Certification In Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (Pmhn) Are Given Preference.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Psychiatric Rn, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Building Rapport With Patients And Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals.
