- Assist licensed physical therapists in providing rehabilitation services to patients.
- Perform prescribed exercises and therapeutic techniques under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Monitor and record patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve their mobility and independence.
- Help patients with daily activities and tasks, such as getting in and out of bed, walking, and using assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment for patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to physical therapy.
- Attend training and continuing education opportunities to stay updated on current practices and techniques.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and feedback to improve patient care.
- Follow Amedisys policies and procedures for quality assurance and safety measures.
- Represent Amedisys in a professional and compassionate manner at all times.
- Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and contribute to the overall success of the physical therapy department.
Associate's Degree In Physical Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As A Physical Therapist Assistant In A Clinical Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Current License In Physical Therapy Assistant From The State In Which The Amedisys Facility Is Located.
Strong Knowledge Of Physical Therapy Techniques, Equipment, And Treatment Plans.
