  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in accordance with Amedisys' values and standards.
  2. Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing effective rehabilitation plans for patients.

  4. Help patients regain their mobility, strength, and independence through the use of innovative therapy techniques.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress and report to physical therapist.

  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Job Qualifications

  • Completion Of An Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program: Amedisys Requires Candidates For Their Physical Therapist Assistant Position To Have Completed An Accredited Program, Ensuring That They Have Received The Necessary Education And Training For The Role.

  • State Licensure: Amedisys Requires All Physical Therapist Assistants To Hold A Valid State License In The State In Which They Will Be Practicing. This Ensures That Candidates Have Met The Necessary Qualifications And Standards Set By The State.

  • Cpr Certification: Amedisys Requires All Physical Therapist Assistants To Hold A Valid Cpr Certification. This Ensures That Candidates Are Trained In Emergency Procedures And Can Respond Quickly And Effectively In Case Of An Emergency.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Amedisys Prefers Candidates Who Have Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Facility. This Experience Demonstrates A Familiarity With Healthcare Protocols And Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Physical Therapist Assistants At Amedisys Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Listen Actively, Provide Clear Instructions, And Show Empathy And Compassion Towards Patients.
