
Payroll Specialist - On-Site

- Accurately and efficiently process payroll for all employees on a timely basis.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholding and direct deposit information.
- Handle and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information.
- Communicate payroll changes and updates to employees and managers in a clear and timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all employee payroll information.
- Monitor and review payroll reports to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist with year-end processes and reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
- Train and mentor new payroll team members as needed.
- Utilize payroll software and Microsoft Excel to accurately process payroll and generate reports.
- Communicate and work effectively with team members and other departments to ensure a smooth payroll process.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline payroll processes and procedures.
- Provide support and assistance with additional payroll-related tasks as needed.
Extensive Knowledge Of Payroll Processes And Procedures: A Qualified Payroll Specialist At Amedisys Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Payroll Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices. This Includes Experience With Payroll Software And Systems, As Well As The Ability To Accurately Calculate And Process Payroll For A Large Organization.
Strong Attention To Detail: As Payroll Is A Highly Detailed And Time-Sensitive Process, A Payroll Specialist At Amedisys Must Have Exceptional Attention To Detail. This Includes The Ability To Spot Errors And Discrepancies In Employee Records, Pay Rates, And Tax Withholdings.
Excellent Communication Skills: The Payroll Specialist Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Employees, Managers, And External Parties Regarding Payroll-Related Inquiries And Issues. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.
