  1. Provide high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans and under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
  2. Conduct initial patient evaluations and document findings in a timely and thorough manner.
  3. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals, and regularly monitor and update plans as needed.
  4. Implement therapeutic interventions and techniques to improve patient's physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
  5. Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide guidance on adaptive equipment, home modifications, and other resources to promote independence and safety.
  6. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and caregivers to educate them on treatment plans, progress, and home exercises.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  9. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  12. Provide support and guidance to other team members, including occupational therapy aides and students, as needed.
  13. Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times and promote a positive image of occupational therapy services.
  14. Proactively identify and report any patient or staff safety concerns to supervisors.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality requirements.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program

  • Current Certification As An Occupational Therapy Assistant (Cota) By The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot)

  • Active State License As An Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Rehabilitation Or Skilled Nursing Facility

  • Knowledge Of And Adherence To State And Federal Regulations, As Well As Amedisys Policies And Procedures Related To Occupational Therapy Services.
