1. Assisting in developing individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists.
2. Implementing treatment plans and providing hands-on therapy to patients.
3. Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
4. Documenting patient progress and communicating any changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
5. Maintaining a safe and clean treatment environment for patients.
6. Educating patients and their families on treatment techniques and strategies.
7. Adhering to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
8. Continuously updating knowledge and skills through attending trainings and staying up-to-date with current research and best practices in occupational therapy.
9. Providing compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families.
10. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and following HIPAA guidelines.
11. Assisting in the ordering and maintenance of therapy equipment and supplies.
12. Collaborating with insurance companies and other third-party payers to ensure proper reimbursement for services provided.
13. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development and improvement of departmental processes.
14. Representing the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
15. Adhering to ethical and professional standards of conduct in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
