Master's Degree In Social Work: Amedisys Requires All Medical Social Workers To Have A Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited University.
Licensure And Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current License To Practice As A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw) Or Licensed Master Social Worker (Lmsw). Certification From The National Association Of Social Workers (Nasw) Is Also Preferred.
Experience In Healthcare Setting: A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting Is Required For This Position. Candidates With Experience In Hospice Care Or Home Health Care Will Be Preferred.
Knowledge Of Medical Social Work Practices: The Candidate Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Medical Social Work Practices, Including Assessment, Intervention, And Case Management.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Healthcare Teams. They Should Also Have The Ability To Handle Sensitive And Complex Situations With Empathy And Professionalism.
