  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.
  2. Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  3. Help patients with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients.
  6. Monitor and report any changes in patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  7. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  9. Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent care and support to patients and their families.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
  12. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
  13. Uphold company values of compassion, integrity, and excellence in all interactions.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Home Health Aide (Hha) Certification: Amedisys Requires All Hsp Hospice Aides To Have A Current And Valid Cna Or Hha Certification.

  • Prior Experience In Hospice Or Home Health Care: A Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Hospice Or Home Health Care Is Preferred, As The Hsp Hospice Aide Will Be Providing Hands-On Care To Patients In Their Homes.

  • Compassionate And Empathetic Nature: Working In Hospice Care Requires A High Level Of Compassion And Empathy, As The Hsp Hospice Aide Will Be Providing Emotional And Physical Support To Patients And Their Families During Difficult Times.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In Hospice Care, As The Hsp Hospice Aide Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure The Best Care Possible.

  • Physical Ability To Perform Job Duties: The Hsp Hospice Aide Will Be Responsible For Assisting With Daily Living Activities, Such As Bathing, Dressing, And Transferring Patients. Therefore, Physical Strength And Mobility Are Important Qualifications For This Job.
