Advanced Degree In Nursing: The Ideal Candidate For The Hospice Nurse Practitioner Position At Amedisys Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Nursing, Such As A Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Or A Doctor Of Nursing Practice (Dnp).
Certification As A Nurse Practitioner: Amedisys Requires All Hospice Nurse Practitioners To Be Certified As A Nurse Practitioner (Np) In The State Where They Will Be Practicing. This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Education, Experience, And Competency Requirements Necessary To Provide Advanced Practice Nursing Care.
Experience In Hospice Care: Amedisys Is Looking For Candidates Who Have Previous Experience Working In Hospice Care. This Could Include Experience As A Hospice Nurse, Hospice Social Worker, Or Hospice Chaplain. Candidates With Experience In End-Of-Life Care And Pain Management Will Be Given Preference.
