  5. Help patients with mobility and exercise routines as directed by healthcare professionals.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support and promote a positive attitude.
  8. Follow all established protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  9. Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  11. Attend regular team meetings and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Amedisys Requires All Home Health Aides To Have Completed At Least A High School Education Or Equivalent.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna): Amedisys Prefers Candidates With A Current Cna Certification, As It Ensures A Basic Level Of Healthcare Knowledge And Experience.

  • State-Specific Training And Certification: Depending On The State, Home Health Aides May Be Required To Undergo Additional Training And Certification. Amedisys Requires All Hhas To Meet The State-Specific Requirements.

  • Previous Experience In Home Health Or Healthcare Setting: While Not Required, Amedisys Prefers Candidates With Previous Experience As A Home Health Aide Or In A Healthcare Setting, As It Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Role And Responsibilities.
