- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in their own homes.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient's health or condition to the appropriate medical professionals.
- Assist patients with medication reminders and ensure proper adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including proper sanitation and infection control measures.
- Create and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Document all care provided accurately and timely in patients' medical records.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge and skills necessary for the role.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Home Health Aide (Hha) Certification: Amedisys Requires All Home Health Aides To Have A Valid Cna Or Hha Certification From An Accredited Program.
Prior Experience In Home Health Care: Candidates For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Home Health Care Setting, Providing Personal Care, And Assisting With Activities Of Daily Living.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Home Health Aides At Amedisys Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport And Establish A Trusting Relationship With Their Patients.
Basic Medical Knowledge And Understanding Of Healthcare Protocols: Amedisys Values Home Health Aides Who Have A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Protocols, As Well As Experience With Administering Medications And Providing Wound Care.
Reliable And Flexible Availability: Home Health Aides Must Be Able To Work Flexible Schedules, Including Weekends And Evenings, To Accommodate The Needs Of Their Patients. They Should Also Have Reliable Transportation To Travel To And From Patient Homes.
