High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Amedisys Requires All Home Health Aides To Have A Minimum Education Level Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Amedisys Prefers Candidates With A Cna Certification, Which Includes Training In Basic Patient Care And Safety.
Previous Experience In Home Care Or Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Previous Experience In A Home Care Or Healthcare Setting Are Preferred, As They Are Familiar With The Duties And Responsibilities Of A Home Health Aide.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Home Health Aide, You Will Be Working Closely With Patients And Their Families, So Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For This Role.
Current Cpr And First Aid Certification: Amedisys Requires All Home Health Aides To Have A Current Cpr And First Aid Certification To Ensure They Are Prepared To Handle Any Emergency Situations That May Arise While On The Job.
