- Provide compassionate and quality care to hospice patients in their end-of-life journey.
- Work as a part of the hospice team to ensure the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients are met.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and changes in condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
- Continuously educate and update yourself on hospice care practices and techniques.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism towards patients and their families.
- Respect and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other hospice team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Report any concerns or changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Attend team meetings and participate in discussions regarding patient care.
- Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures.

- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: A Cna Hospice Aide At Amedisys Must Hold A Current Cna Certification From An Accredited Program.
Experience In Hospice Care: Amedisys Prefers Candidates With At Least 1 Year Of Experience In Hospice Care, As It Requires A Unique Set Of Skills And Knowledge.
Compassionate And Empathetic Nature: Working With Terminally Ill Patients Requires A High Level Of Compassion And Empathy. Amedisys Looks For Candidates Who Can Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Their Families During This Difficult Time.
