Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated CNA Hospice Aide to join our team in providing exceptional hospice care.   1. Provide compassionate care to patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.
  2. Support patients in maintaining their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  3. Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  4. Monitor patient's vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
  5. Administer medication and assist with other medical procedures as directed by the medical team.
  6. Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the medical team.
  8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  9. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
  11. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Amedisys and regulatory guidelines.
  12. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education opportunities.
  13. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence in providing hospice care.
  14. Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their cultural and personal beliefs.
  15. Represent Amedisys in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Licensure: Amedisys Requires All Hospice Aides To Possess A Valid Cna License In The State Where They Will Be Providing Care.

  • Prior Experience In Hospice Or End-Of-Life Care: A Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Hospice Or End-Of-Life Care Is Preferred For This Role.

  • Compassionate And Empathetic Nature: Hospice Aides Must Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As A Genuine Desire To Provide Comfort And Support To Patients And Their Families During A Difficult Time.

  • Strong Clinical Skills: Amedisys Looks For Candidates With A Solid Understanding Of Basic Nursing Procedures And Techniques, As Well As The Ability To Monitor And Report On Patient Conditions.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team: Hospice Aides At Amedisys Must Be Self-Motivated And Able To Work Independently, While Also Collaborating With Other Members Of The Hospice Care Team To Provide Comprehensive Care To Patients.
