As a CNA Hospice Aide, you will provide personal care and support to our hospice patients in the comfort of their own homes. If you are a caring individual with a passion for helping others and the necessary qualifications, we would love to have you on our team.

  1. Provide personal care and support to hospice patients in their homes, including assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the hospice care team, including nurses and social workers, to develop and implement care plans for patients.
  4. Assist with medication administration and other medical tasks under the direction of a registered nurse.
  5. Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions.
  7. Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion while providing care to patients and their families.
  8. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge related to hospice care.
  10. Follow all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies related to patient care and confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) License: Amedisys Requires All Candidates For A Cna Hospice Aide Position To Hold A Valid Cna License In The State Where They Will Be Working.

  • Hospice Care Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In Hospice Care, Preferably In A Home Health Or Hospice Setting.

  • Compassion And Empathy: Amedisys Values Individuals Who Are Passionate About Providing Quality End-Of-Life Care And Have A Strong Sense Of Empathy For Patients And Their Families.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Cna Hospice Aides Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Physical Stamina: The Role Of A Cna Hospice Aide Can Be Physically Demanding, So Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Lift And Move Patients As Needed.
