  1. Provide compassionate care to patients in their end-of-life journey.
  2. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  3. Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, and report any changes to the hospice team.
  4. Administer medication as directed by the hospice nurse.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the hospice team to ensure quality care.
  7. Document patient care accurately and timely.
  8. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and company policies.
  9. Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions.

  11. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Amedisys Requires Candidates For The Cna Hospice Aide Position To Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Can Effectively Communicate With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Amedisys Requires All Cna Hospice Aide Candidates To Have A Valid Cna Certification. This Certification Demonstrates That Candidates Have Completed A State-Approved Training Program And Have Passed A Competency Exam, Ensuring They Have The Necessary Skills To Provide Quality Care To Hospice Patients.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Amedisys Prefers Candidates For The Cna Hospice Aide Position To Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Can Be In A Hospital, Nursing Home, Or Other Medical Facility And Provides Candidates With A Basic Understanding Of Healthcare Practices And Procedures.

  • Cpr Certification: Amedisys Requires All Cna Hospice Aide Candidates To Have A Current Cpr Certification. This Ensures That Candidates Are Prepared To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Care If Needed.
