- Provide compassionate and skilled care to hospice patients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assist with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote comfort and maintain personal hygiene.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the hospice team.
- Administer medication as per physician orders and document accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for patients and their loved ones.
- Collaborate with other members of the hospice care team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Amedisys Requires All Hospice Aides To Hold A Valid Cna Certification In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Provide Quality Care To Hospice Patients.
Previous Hospice Or Palliative Care Experience: Amedisys Prefers Candidates With Prior Experience Working In A Hospice Or Palliative Care Setting. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Providing End-Of-Life Care.
Compassionate And Empathetic Demeanor: Amedisys Values Candidates With A Caring And Compassionate Nature, As They Will Be Working With Patients And Their Families During A Difficult Time. The Ability To Show Empathy And Provide Emotional Support Is Crucial For A Hospice Aide.
