  1. Serve as the first point of contact for patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
  2. Handle incoming calls, emails, and other forms of communication from patients and their families, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of Amedisys' services, policies, and procedures in order to effectively assist patients and their families.
  4. Schedule appointments and coordinate services for patients, working closely with other team members to ensure seamless and efficient care.
  5. Handle billing and insurance inquiries, ensuring proper documentation and communication with patients and insurance providers.
  6. Document all interactions with patients and their families accurately and thoroughly in the appropriate systems.
  7. Identify and escalate any urgent or complex issues to the appropriate team members for resolution.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in healthcare regulations, ensuring compliance and providing accurate information to patients and their families.
  9. Maintain a positive and compassionate attitude, showing empathy and understanding towards patients and their families.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and procedures, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
