Job Description

Lead requirements gathering sessions with business users to define business logic that the software application needs to support. Work with Bioinformatics Software Manager to develop solutions that align with defined business logic, goals and objectives, and determine the technical and operational feasibility and prepare functional requirements. Ensure requirements are understood and approved by stakeholders and work with stakeholders to develop test plans. Create acceptance criteria, training material for end user, and software documentation for quality assurance. Coordinate change control protocols that ensure the business approval of production deployments. Become technical subject matter expert for one or multiple web-based applications. Monitor, maintain, and triage issues with existing software solutions.

Job Qualifications

At least 2 years of industrial experience
Experience facilitating project meetings, requirements gathering, and follow-ups preferred
Ability to participate in code reviews to detect bugs, analyze coding style, and to suggest best practices
Familiarity with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies
Experience with using the Symfony framework preferred
