Director, Regional Information Security

Amadeus IT Group is seeking an experienced Director, Regional Information Security to join our global team and help protect our critical data and infrastructure from cyber threats. This role is critical to keeping our data secure and ensuring the safety of our digital assets. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader in information security and will possess the right blend of technical, operational and strategic expertise. They will have a successful track record of leading regional information security teams and managing security initiatives, as well as a strong knowledge of security technologies, policies, and processes. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is both proactive and organized in their approach to security. They will need to be able to build strong relationships with the business, and to work closely with internal and external teams to ensure that security policies and procedures are implemented effectively. Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field• 5-7 years of experience leading regional information security teams• Strong knowledge of security technologies, policies, and processes• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Proven success in leading security initiatives• Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, such as GDPR, ISO27001, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement regional information security strategies, plans, and policies to protect the organization’s data and digital assets.

• Manage the regional information security team to ensure that security initiatives are effectively implemented.

• Evaluate and recommend security technologies, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

• Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest threats and trends in the information security industry.

• Establish strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure their security needs are met.

• Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure that security policies and procedures are implemented properly.

• Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices in information security.

• Provide guidance and training to staff on information security-related topics.

• Educate and inform employees on the importance of data security.
