
Flight Paramedic
At Altru Health System, we are looking for a Flight Paramedic to join our top-notch team of healthcare professionals. Our Flight Paramedic will provide medical care in the air and on the ground, ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly compassionate individual who is knowledgeable of the latest medical procedures and technologies and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. The successful Flight Paramedic will need to possess the following qualifications: current certification/registration as a Paramedic, current certification/registration in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), current certification/registration in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and two years of experience as a Paramedic. Experience in a Critical Care Transport setting is preferred. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an understanding of aircraft medical equipment, and a commitment to providing the highest level of patient care. Responsibilities of a Flight Paramedic:
• Provide medical care in the air and on the ground to ensure the safety and comfort of patients • Possess current certification/registration as a Paramedic, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Possess an understanding of aircraft medical equipment • Maintain a commitment to providing the highest level of patient care • Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations • Respond to medical emergencies quickly and efficiently • Record and maintain accurate patient information • Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition • Educate patients and families on medical procedures and treatments • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care for patients
