Dietary Clerk

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Clerk who is passionate about providing exceptional care and customer service. The successful candidate for this position will have the required qualifications and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. If you have experience in the nutrition and food service industry and have the ability to provide excellent service to our patients, we would love to hear from you!The successful applicant for this position will have a high school diploma or GED and previous customer service experience. They must possess a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. They must be organized and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. They must be able to work effectively with other team members, and be self-motivated and able to work independently. They must also have a basic knowledge of nutrition and food safety.

Responsibilities of a Dietary Clerk:

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families

• Adhere to Altru Health System policies and procedures

• Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanor at all times

• Greet and check in guests in a timely manner

• Monitor and update patient's nutritional and dietary needs

• Maintain accurate records of patient meal orders

• Assist in food preparation and presentation as needed

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

• Monitor inventory of food items and ensure all items are properly stored and labeled

• Collaborate with other healthcare personnel to ensure the best possible care for patients

• Answer any questions or inquiries from patients and their families
