
Diagnostic Radiology Technologist
At Altru Health System, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing imaging procedures and providing patient care services while adhering to all safety protocols.This position requires a combination of technical expertise and patient service skills as the Diagnostic Radiology Technologist will be responsible for operating a variety of imaging equipment, ensuring quality control of imaging studies, and providing patient education on imaging procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient safety, service, and quality while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team.The ideal candidate for this position will possess an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Previous experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.We are looking for a professional, motivated, and dedicated Diagnostic Radiology Technologist who is passionate about delivering quality patient care. Responsibilities: • Operate a variety of imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images of body parts for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treatment of medical conditions. • Maintain quality control and safety standards of imaging studies. • Provide patient education on imaging procedures. • Follow all safety protocols and ensure patient safety at all times. • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team. • Maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. • Maintain professional development and continuing education requirements for ARRT certification. • Ensure all equipment used is clean and in good working order. • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after imaging procedures. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. • Assist with the training and supervision of new staff members.
