Job Description

At Altru Health System, we are looking for a highly qualified Clinical Pharmacist Cardiology to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in the Cardiology setting, ensuring all departments work together to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and an expertise in Cardiology treatments, medications, and pharmacology.The successful Clinical Pharmacist Cardiology must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, and be licensed by the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of two years of clinical pharmacy experience in a Cardiology setting and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. A strong knowledge of clinical cardiology and pharmacotherapeutics is a must. Responsibilities of a Clinical Pharmacist Cardiology: • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in the Cardiology setting • Ensure all departments work together to provide the highest quality of care to patients • Ensure medication orders are accurate and safe • Monitor patient drug therapy regimens • Maintain a record of all medications administered • Educate other healthcare professionals on medication usage and drug interactions • Keep up-to-date on new drug developments and therapies • Ensure that all prescriptions and compounds are prepared according to established standards • Provide patient counseling on proper medication usage • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times • Assist with developing protocols and guidelines for medication use • Research and develop clinical trials for new drugs • Provide consultation to patients and physicians on medication related issues
