
Supervisory Criminal Investigator

- Lead and supervise a team of criminal investigators in the prevention and detection of violent crimes, illegal firearms and explosives trafficking, and other criminal activities.
- Develop and implement investigative plans and strategies in collaboration with team members to effectively and efficiently address criminal threats.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in criminal activity and develop actionable leads for investigations.
- Stay current with laws, regulations, and policies related to criminal investigations and ensure team members are also knowledgeable and compliant.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in the execution of investigative techniques, evidence collection, and case management.
- Conduct regular evaluations of team members' performance, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for training and development.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to share information and resources and coordinate efforts in addressing criminal activities.
- Serve as a liaison between the team and other departments within the ATF, as well as external agencies and organizations.
- Ensure that all investigative activities and procedures adhere to legal and ethical standards, as well as agency policies and protocols.
- Regularly report on team activities, progress, and outcomes to superiors and provide recommendations for improvement or changes in strategies.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Continuously assess and mitigate risks related to the safety of team members and the public during investigations and operations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to the agency's mission and values.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and training of new team members and provide mentorship and guidance to support their development as criminal investigators.
- Represent the ATF and the criminal investigation unit in meetings, conferences, and other events, both internally and externally.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Law Enforcement: A Successful Supervisory Criminal Investigator At Atf Must Possess A Strong Background In Law Enforcement, With A Thorough Understanding Of Federal Laws, Regulations, And Investigative Techniques.
