
Aerospace Engineer

- Design and develop aerospace systems and technologies in accordance with ATF regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the nation's airspace and develop solutions to mitigate these threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aerospace engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet ATF safety and security requirements.
- Utilize advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed designs and models of aerospace systems and components.
- Perform complex calculations and simulations to evaluate the performance and reliability of aerospace systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Stay current on industry advancements and trends in aerospace engineering to inform decision-making and improve processes.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and materials for use in aerospace systems.
- Conduct tests and experiments to validate the functionality and safety of aerospace systems and components.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and industry partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and security protocols and regulations.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and support staff as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Represent the ATF at conferences, workshops, and other industry events to promote the agency's aerospace engineering capabilities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the ATF and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Aerospace Engineering Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Aircraft Design, Propulsion Systems, And Aerodynamics.
Experience With Cad Software And Other Engineering Tools.
Understanding Of Federal Regulations And Safety Protocols Related To Aerospace Technology.
Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills To Support Investigations And Analysis Of Potential Threats.
