
Maintenance Planner
Alaska Airlines is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team. This position is an integral part of our operations and requires a comprehensive understanding of aviation maintenance and logistics. The ideal candidate must have a passion for aviation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality service.The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for creating and overseeing the maintenance and repair schedules of the aircraft fleet, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the mandated timelines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that all mandated inspections are performed, all parts and components are properly tracked, and any necessary repairs are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.The ideal candidate for this role should possess exceptional time management skills, a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think on their feet. The successful candidate should also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an aviation maintenance or logistics role, as well as an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Create and oversee the maintenance and repair schedules of the aircraft fleet, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the mandated timelines.
- Ensure that all mandated inspections are performed, all parts and components are properly tracked, and any necessary repairs are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of maintenance records for the aircraft fleet.
- Monitor the availability of parts and components and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that all parts and components are available when needed.
- Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to reduce maintenance costs.
- Monitor aircraft performance and advise on any necessary repairs or modifications.
- Maintain communication with pilots and other personnel to ensure that aircraft maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide technical advice and support to maintenance personnel.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in aircraft maintenance and repair.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable FAA regulations.
