Job Description

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Search to join our team at Airbnb. As the Staff Software Engineer, Search, you’ll be responsible for the design, development and execution of search applications and services that are used by our community of hosts and guests. You’ll be an integral part of our engineering team, so we’re looking for someone who is passionate about software engineering, has a positive attitude, and is eager to develop innovative solutions.The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong engineering background and have a deep understanding of search technologies, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. You should have experience building software that can scale to millions of users and have worked with distributed systems and large datasets. Additionally, you should have working knowledge of indexing, query language, and ranking techniques, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers, product managers, and data scientists.If you’re excited about the opportunity to join our team and think you have the qualifications we’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you!
