That’s why we’re looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer, Performance – someone who can help make Airbnb faster and more reliable for our users.If you’re an experienced software engineer passionate about performance and optimization, we want to hear from you! You should bring a passion for tackling hard problems and a real aptitude for solving complex performance challenges. You should also be comfortable leading projects and pushing for changes that will improve our platform’s performance.The ideal candidate will possess: - At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience- Expert knowledge of performance optimization techniques- Strong knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (e.g. JavaScript, Node.js, React, etc.)- A track record of shipping successful projects- A commitment to excellence and an eye for detailIf this sounds like you, let’s chat!

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field

  • + Years Of Software Engineering Experience

  • Strong Understanding Of Algorithmic Complexity

  • Proven Experience Developing Software For Performance-Critical Applications

  • Knowledge Of Distributed Systems And Distributed Computing

  • Expertise In Microservices And Cloud Architectures

  • Extensive Experience With Large Scale Data Analysis And Modeling

  • Experience With Performance And Scalability Optimization Techniques.
